Idyllwild Community Petition<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n


We the undersigned residents of the Idyllwild community, hereby petition our county planning department and any agencies related to the development of Idyllwild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We call on you concerning all areas within one and a half miles of the scenic highway 243, to put an immediate end to any new conversions of existing commercial or residential structures into high density housing, including all new condominiums, town homes, apartment buildings, hotels, and tenement construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is simple, to preserve Idyllwild’s rich artistry and traditions and the local biosphere. We believe in protecting our constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness, an effect that is largely derived from a natural small-town environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We request that any new and existing development first be approved by a local review board (to be designated) and suggest the formation of a cultural heritage board to protect Idyllwild’s roots and natural resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
